Techwood Decks helped in securing an Engineer, assisted with the permit (a very difficult process), and finished the project on time and in budget. I am extremely happy with the way the project turned-out even though there were several issues uncovered during the project, Techwood Decks were very easy to deal with and helpful in resolving all the issues.

My wife and I went with Techwood Decks because their proposal was very competitive and they were available to start right away. What began as a plan to replace our 40-year-old wooden deck turned into a full upgrade to PVC decking with a pergola on top. The whole project took about four weeks, from demo to framing and installing low-voltage lighting and the pergola. Everything moved along smoothly and on schedule. Kaio, the project leader, kept us updated throughout, and Cejana, the deck consultant, was incredibly helpful. For example, she arranged to have TimberTech board samples dropped off at our house, which made choosing the Dark Roast PVC boards really easy. Even more remarkable, the company’s owners personally came to our home to offer helpful advice when we had a design question. We found them when looking for a builder familiar with TimberTech decking. Our existing deck was rotten and we really wanted to use an aluminum frame to minimize maintenance and avoid ever having a similar situation. Techwood was very knowledgeable, gave us a great quote and explained every option.

Our contractor hired WL Pro Builders to build a deck in the backyard. Our first interaction with them was to confirm the specs, which we did after they provided a detailed design plan indicating foundations, structure and finishing. That was a very helpful step since we had discussed the footprint of the deck and generalities with our contractor, but we couldn’t visualize details until we saw them in that plan. We then discussed the next steps and details with Leandro and Leo who were managing our project. When they started building it, things went fast. They built the foundations and the structure, and checked with us that everything was ok along the way. The few times we wanted something slightly different, they were very forthcoming in discussing options and tradeoffs. After a choice was made, they took the time to make things as requested. At the end, we were extremely happy with the result and now have a deck we really love.

The WL team are such an amazing crew to work with and their work is top notch.
